Minor spoilers to follow:
It is possible for a guy to get tired of actions and explosions if that's all that happens for a full hour and a half in a row without a plotline break.
It is okay, as a major director, to take a pot shot at an actress in your movie even after you've fired her. Very classy. (One little useless robot muses that he didn't like her because she was mean which makes no sense in the context of the TF universe. Megan's character loved Bumblebee, was kind to him and others and even saved him at one point. Sam argues with new girl more than he ever did with her despite him having once crapped all over Megan's character in the first movie for something her FATHER did and that she had no part in and doesn't affect him at all and she FORGIVES HIM. The comment that the character is mean is obviously a potshot at the actress herself.)
A girl becomes "the one" if she is rich, hot, supplies you with money and doesn't care what you do even if she flirts with every other guy in existence even if you're standing right there and pretty much argues with you constantly.
It is all the girl's fault for dumping you even though it is made clear in this movie that he was flirting with new girl within MOMENTS of the second movie ending as he met her when he was receiving a medal from the President FOR his actions in the second movie. I can only assume that either she left him a)for a hot soldier that she met in the desert at the end of that movie b) because she did almost everything he did and got no such medal and got tired of all the sexism surrounding Shia/Sam or c) because she was most likely still with him at the time and he was macking on other chicks in the oval office. I mean even if she had broken up with him before that it couldn't have been more than a few days and here he is making moves on another girl even though his girlfriend of more than a year just broke up with him so I have to doubt he even cared about her that much.
Speaking of sexism. The female lead in a movie may be richer and more successful than your male lead but only by being someone's assistant who is constantly sexually harassed and seems to really, really like it.
Your one liners apparently no longer have to make sense. "I'm not a hero, I'm just a messenger" not only isn't cool... but made no sense for the scene. If it had been followed up with "what's the message then?" and Sam replying "I gave it to you earlier, remember?" "...What?" Wham. "I told you I was going to kill you." THAT would have worked. But I guess they cut some of the dialogue out of the super long movie to make room for 20 more minutes of explosions.
Someone flying through the glass of their office IN their swivel chair despite having a gun (a.k.a. a much easier way to kill themselves) IN their office looks like a suicide to police.

Cleaning up a splattered body is the job of mail room staff... and also done before forensics shows up.
Robots have accents. And spit a lot.
Pretty much nailed it.
ReplyDeleteIt was cool to be at the first-ever screening of anything at the new Polo Park IMAX screen, but besides that, it was a waste of 2.5 hours of my time. And also, the 3D was useless. And also, the theatre has leather seats and the AC wasn't working, which made for an awful combination.
